Dan Burnett is a powerful force in the world of blues and soul music. It’s in his blood.

He was spoon-fed blues, soul, funk, and rock music from an early age by his parents. His father, Laurie Burnett was a well respected guitarist who was in bands with ex David Bowie’s ‘Spiders from Mars’ Woody Woodmansey and Trevor Bolder, and played national support tours with acts such as Hot Chocolate. In his teens, Laurie’s passion for music was helped along with guitar tuition from his good friend, the legendary Mick Ronson.

Dan learned to play the keys with his father’s guidance after receiving a keyboard for his 3rd birthday. By the time he was 9 years old, he was playing gigs throughout Yorkshire in his dad’s blues band, and from then on, live performance was a way of life.

Over the last few years, Dan has written and recorded music for TV & Film (including the Nicolas Cage movie ‘Stolen’, and the US TV series ‘Supernatural’), and has gigged extensively in the UK, Europe and USA. He’s shared stages with some incredible artists, including:

  • Malford Milligan (USA) – multiple winner of ‘The Voice of Austin Texas’ award
  • Paul Jones (BBC R2, Manfred Mann, The Blues Band)
  • Aynsley Lister
  • The Animals & Friends
  • Mick Ralphs (Bad Company/Mott The Hoople)
  • Matt Schofield
  • The Nimmo Brothers
  • Todd Sharpville
  • Debbie Davies (USA)
  • Nick Moss (USA)
  • Nine Below Zero
  • Gerry McAvoy’s Band of Friends

Dan was nominated as a finalist in The British Blues Awards 2015 & 2016, and endorses Kawai Pianos internationally. In 2015 he launched ‘E.P.’ in New York City (which is available on iTunesAmazon MP3, and Google Play).  and regularly plays throughout the UK as a solo artist, and with The Dan Burnett Band.

In November 2017, Dan released ‘Small World E.P.’ which is his first completely solo production.
